Recycling and Solid Waste Center and Curbside Recycling Pick-up
Schedule During President’s Day Holiday

 
The Tompkins County Solid Waste Management Division (TCSWMD) Office will be closed on Monday, February 15th, in observation of the President’s Day holiday and will re-open on Tuesday, February 16th.
 
The Tompkins County Recycling and Solid Waste Center will be open on Monday, February 15th.
 
There will be no interruption in curbside recycling collection. Pick-ups will occur as normal.

Significant Elements Free Friday

This local architectural salvage warehouse will be featuring a large quantity of overstocked goods available on a first come, first serve basis. Supporting Significant Elements promotes the reuse of architectural elements when the demolition of a building cannot be otherwise prevented and the reuse of such materials through activities that promote restoration and reuse instead of demolition.

SewGreen Open Sew
Sunday, February 28
1 to 4 pm
SewGreen Classroom
Women's Community Building

 
The SewGreen classroom will be open the last Sunday of each month to teens and adults who need to use a sewing machine or table space to work on a project, or to just be with others who enjoy sewing. To use a machine, you must have some prior experience. There's no formal instruction but we will help you get acquainted with our classic Singers, and you are welcome to use our classroom sewing tools and materials. This free studio time is for experienced sewers.

 

 
Unwanted Household Pharmaceutical Collection Event

This event will be a supervised collection of unwanted household pharmaceutical and other non-prescription pharmaceutical items. This event is FREE and no appointment is necessary to participate.
