Buying a Recycling Bin

Additional and replacement bins may be purchased from the Solid Waste Management Division (SWMD) office during regular business hours. These 18- or 22-gallon green plastic bins are sold for a fee.

Alternative Curbside Bins

Residents have the option of using recycling collection containers other than the County designated bin.

• Containers must be no larger than 40 gallons in size and weigh no more than 40 pounds when full.
• Containers must be clearly marked with an "R". Premanent marker or leftover paint can be used, and "R" decals are available at the SWMD office at no cost.
• Recyclable paper and recyclable containers can all be mixed together in a bin or a larger container with a lid.
• Do not put recyclables in plastic bags or cover recycling bins with tarps.
